Professional tips for implementing line marking at your facility
Have a solid plan in place
A detailed plan for where the line marking is to be will save time and money. We can help you create that plan and solve any problems that may arise in advance. Paint is a permanent liquid, you don’t want to discover a problem when it is actually being applied. With a plan in place the actual line marking will be done far more efficiently.
Prepare the area – and your staff!
This will apply to any type of line marking being done, but particularly if you are using paint. To prep the area, ensure there is ample space either side for the marker and the machine to move freely around.
The longer you leave paint to dry, the better it will cure. 24 hours is the recommended time.
The area will need to be cordoned off, so no one walks or drives over the wet paint. City Line Marking can work out the best times that would be easier for your work/people load.
Inform all staff members and external visitors or vehicles coming onto your site that you are line marking. Make sure they are aware there will be wet paint applied and where it is.
Before the line marking paint is applied, make sure the surface area is very clean. Loose dirt and debris which is painted over can peel away lessening the longevity of the paint.
